THIS WEEKEND! Studio Tour King — Come and see my best work

It’s finally arrived!   And what a great weekend to get out in the Spring rural beauty of King Township.

I’m proud to present a number of new, completely original lighting designs I believe will rock your world (IF you are turned on by glass art lighting like I am).

I don’t even have studio photographs of these samples yet – but here are a few teaser shots of the shades themselves.  You’ll have to come to the studio in Schomberg to see the whole fixtures!

Studio Tour King is this weekend (April 22 + 23), 10:00 – 5:00 each day, and features 51 artists at neatly 40 locations through out King Township.

Have a look here for more information and a link to the brochure that includes the self-guided map.

Lighting Showcase!

If you’ve been watching my Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and indeed, my previous posts on this blog, (see left sidebar for all the links!) you’ll have figured out that I’m specializing in some very exciting lighting concepts!  And … I’m targeting Toronto’s diverse and rich restaurant industry.

Here’s what I mean, with more to follow below:

I’ve been doing lighting applications – both stained glass and fused –  for some time now.  In fact I have a category on this blog for my fused glass lighting works and another for my stained glass lighting works.  You may enjoy a look at how my style has evolved over the last 20 years. Fused Glass Art Lamps – Custom Made to Delight

I’ve made custom lighting over the 20 years I’ve been doing glass art (if you dig into my blog post history you’ll see several examples).

After talking with past, present and prospective customers, not to mention visiting various design trade shows and reading all the trade magazines you likely do, I realized that I can do better than much of what I was seeing!

But … I needed a supplier of not only the electrical hardware components to produce a complete product offering:  I also needed a local metal supplier who can manufacture bent steel rods and associated fittings to my design.

I now have both!  And am I ever excited.

This 4-fixture “chandelier” is but a mere prototype. Continue reading Fused Glass Art Lamps – Custom Made to Delight

Studio Update! Fused Art Glass Pendant Lighting – New at Gotham Glassworks

Getting ready to launch my pre-made and custom-order fused art glass pendant lighting for this Spring’s King Studio Tour (April 23-24. See here for more info).

I’ve sourced the trendy hardware myself so I can offer you a unique,  complete product for your kitchen, bathroom, condo or any area requiring task or accent lighting.

My designs are statement pieces – a real step-up from what you see in (ho hum!) major retailers.  Check out these sample photos below.

See you at the show! Continue reading Studio Update! Fused Art Glass Pendant Lighting – New at Gotham Glassworks
